VDMA Transformation Congress "Engineering Zeitenwende"
"Engineering turnaround - strategies for the transformation of our business location": This is the motto of our VDMA Transformation Congress on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the AXICA Congress Center on Pariser Platz. This event is the highlight of a series of transformation dialogs.
With its technological solutions, the mechanical and plant engineering industry is considered a key enabler of the digital and climate-neutral transformation. We want to discuss this:
- How do transatlantic relations condition the transformation of our location?
- What role do mechanical and plant engineering companies play in the transformation and how can their solutions effectively promote decarbonization?
- How can the transformation succeed hand in hand with our customer and user industries?
- How can technologies such as AI & robotics cushion the precarious shortage of labor and skilled workers?
- What does location security mean for mechanical and plant engineering?
With these questions in mind, the congress will look at the numerous approaches and challenges of the transformation of Germany and Europe as a business location from the perspective of equipment suppliers and technological enablers. We also want to stimulate discourse between companies and representatives from politics, science and civil society. The aim is to discuss improvements and solutions that will accelerate modernization.

The VDMA's capital city office is breaking new ground: Intensive discussions with stakeholders are on the program until the next General Assembly in order to drive forward the climate-neutral and digital transformation of the economy.
