The forum focuses on raising political visibility and awareness of the importance of investing in efficient building technologies that both improve quality of life and reduce operating costs. As a link between industry and political decision-makers, it is committed to sustainable building infrastructures and the promotion of innovations in building technology.
As an important interface between the building technology sector and politics, the Building Technology Forum is actively involved in promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly building solutions. It uses its political dialogue to draw attention to the importance of efficient and sustainable use of resources in building design. In doing so, the Forum focuses on balanced communication in order to both sensitise politicians to relevant industry concerns and to promote innovative measures and standards.

This was the motto of the VDMA Energy Networking Day held in Frankfurt on May 7 and 8. Around 80 members from several trade associations came together to discuss strategically relevant issues relating to energy and climate policy.
