Meat and Protein Processing Technology
With an industry turnover of more than 1.3 billion euros, German process technology companies for meat and protein processing are global leaders. In addition to the meat industry, manufacturers of plant-based protein products are an important customer target group. The companies generate over 75 percent of their turnover abroad. Their share of global trade is around 30 percent.
More than 50 manufacturers of process technology for meat and protein processing are members of the VDMA. The companies cover the entire range of process and packaging technology for the meat industry and for the production and processing of plant-based proteins: from slaughtering and cutting technology to cutters, grinders, mixers, tumblers, vacuum fillers, cutting technology, weighing technology and complete packaging lines for meat and meat products.
