Welcome to CIMAC CASCADES Germany 2024!

The world of large engines is undergoing fundamental changes. Major social issues such as sustainability and digitalisation are changing the face of shipping as we know it. As the driver of the global economy and as the most efficient of all modern transport modes, global shipping, and the large engines powering it, play a substantial role in all our lives, even if we do not see it every day. Furthermore, large engines are used in high power and rail applications and will play a major role as back up and base load power plants during the energy transition on land.
 
New fuels can open the path to greenhouse gas neutrality in the upcoming decades. New technical solutions are needed to solve the associated problems. And this is precisely where young and creative minds are needed! 
 
CIMAC CASCADES is the platform to give these young talents the opportunity to exchange ideas and create networks with leading players in the industry. In 2024, CIMAC CASCADES will take place in cooperation with the University of Rostock. As a special highlight, the best contribution at CASCADES will get the opportunity to present their research at the 8th Rostock Large Engine Conference on the following day.
 
We look forward to welcoming you to Rostock and to inspiring young people and prospective engineers for the large engine industry!
