Currently, everyone is talking about diversification and de-risking. ASEAN is seen as one of the most promising regions. However, the reality is falling short of expectations and aspirations. This is what we want to discuss at the 9th VDMA Summit at the German Centre in Singapore.
GTAI is investing in an ASEAN hub to provide German companies with more information about developments in the region in a broader geopolitical and economic context. We will take a deep dive into Vietnam, the country that has so far benefited the most from derisking considerations. Additionally, we will look at the Chinese competition in the region and discuss how European engineering could regain market share and what it would take to do so.
Event Highlights
Workshop "China Goes Global: Goals, Actions and Strategies to Counteract "
For the first time at the Summit, there will be a workshop with the participants to address specific questions:
Positioning: Why are European engineering companies poorly positioned in ASEAN?
Market Share: What is needed to win back market share? How can we do better?
Support: How is your parent company supporting you? What would you like to see?
China's Dominance: Your assessment - How will China's economic dominance in the ASEAN region develop? What can the ASEAN countries do to compete with China?
We look forward to your registration and hope to welcome you personally at the German Centre in Singapore!
We will decide on the acceptance of the registration and thus the participation not before expiration of the registration deadline, taking into account the available capacities and the conception of the event. Therefore no entitlement to participation will be constituted.
