Insights in OPC Surface Technology Initiative
The aim of the initiative is to standardize machine-to-machine communication for surface technology in order to reduce the integration effort of machines, installations and devices in surface technology.
Future parts
In future parts, the generic basic information model will be extended to a more specific "capability-based" information model. Image processing capabilities may include presence detection, completeness checking, pose detection, etc. To this end, the proprietary input and output data black boxes will be broken down and replaced by standardized information structures and semantics.
