Dear members,

the fifth lecture in our event series "With new knowledge into the year 2025" will take place on February 28, 2025 and will deal with the Machinery Ordinance.

Machinery Regulation

The new regulation will replace the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. It will enter into force on January 20, 2027 as a cut-off date regulation.

The new regulation is based on the so-called New Legislative Framework, so that machinery law is systematically and terminologically brought up to date with the latest European regulatory technology for product compliance. This adjustment means that importers and distributors are included in the machinery legislation and must also fulfill the obligations already known from the New Legislative Framework with regard to machinery.

The essential health and safety requirements in Annex III of the Machinery Directive have been revised and expanded. Particularly noteworthy are the new health and safety requirements relating to cyber security and artificial intelligence. In future, manufacturers must take sufficient safety precautions to provide adequate protection against unintentional or deliberate attacks by third parties.

At this event, you will find out what you as a company will have to deal with under the Machinery Ordinance, where your challenges and obligations lie, but also your opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming you on February 28th to our event series "With new knowledge into the year 2025" and would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the following dates.
