Weighing Technology
The Weighing Technology Department unites around 60 manufacturers of industrial, precision and shop scales and laboratory and personal scales.
Central topics of our specialist division are conformity assessment or verification as well as the option laid down in the German Measurement Act (MessEG) to take test and examination results into account in verification. Our members can contribute their own opinions to the development and revision of national legislative projects. In addition, we discuss issues relating to metrology and verification or the national implementation of European regulations in regular talks with representatives of the verification authorities and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and develop solutions.
