Length Measurement Technology
The Length Measurement Technology Department unites around 40 manufacturers of coordinate measuring machines, optical and tactile metrology, gauges and measuring standards, measuring devices, - systems, - aids and manual measuring equipment.
We prepare market information and data for our members and are represented at important industry trade fairs. In addition, we develop VDMA Specifications and guides, e.g. for clarifying the properties, requirements and acceptance of measuring systems and measuring processes. Current projects include the development of an OPC/UA "Companion Specification Length Measurement Technology" and the international standardization of safety requirements for coordinate measuring machines.
