The number of first-year students on technical degree courses, as well as the number of applicants for technical apprenticeships, has been falling for years. This is a worrying trend, as the demand for well-trained engineers in mechanical and plant engineering is at an all-time high. The VDMA has therefore launched the TALENTMASCHINE young talent campaign to attract more graduates from general schools into technical apprenticeships and degree courses.

How can universities and industry work together to get more young talent interested in technical courses and professions? Which activities in recruiting young talent are particularly successful at universities and what can we learn from each other?

We look forward to an intensive exchange of experiences!

The Education department's experience exchange event is free of charge for you. Please let us know if you are unable to attend despite having registered. Thank you very much.
