The cyber security and cyber resilience of industry is one of the major regulatory projects in the European Union. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) defines product requirements, while the NIS 2 Directive and its national implementation define the cyber security of companies and production facilities. In addition, there is the IEC 62443 standard for the cyber-secure development and operation of networked systems and the new Radio Equipment Directive (RED) for radio equipment. These regulations affect machine and plant manufacturers as well as their suppliers and customers.
