The numbers speak for themselves: More men study technical subjects than women. The number of female graduates in core engineering subjects has indeed risen over the years to around 20 percent. But these have not reached mechanical and plant engineering: Here, female engineers make up about 11 percent of the workforce.
The IMPULS Foundation of the VDMA, together with RWTH Aachen University, has conducted a study on the topic of "Women Engineers in Mechanical Engineering". The study shows which adjustments companies can make to successfully recruit and retain female engineers. In addition, Bernd Münstermann GmbH & Co. KG will present its own activities to recruit and retain women for technical professions. We want to discuss the following questions:
Contribute your questions on the topic and exchange your thoughts with colleagues from other member companies and with the speakers. We look forward to an intensive virtual exchange of experiences.
The event is aimed at specialists and managers from the areas of human resources and management as well as women in technical professions and all those who want to make a difference in the topic.

- What corporate culture is needed to achieve this?
- What management and working time models are needed?
