Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) - the favored standard for manufacturer- and platform-independent industrial communication - also provides the possibility to standardize parameters and semantics in open information models with OPC UA Companion Specifications (OPC UA CS). The best example of this is the cross-domain harmonization in the basic specification OPC UA for Machinery.
universal machine technology interface (umati) is an initiative of manufacturers, customers and application providers that promotes the dissemination and use of open interfaces based on OPC UA. Its goal: to increase the acceptance and adaptation of the information models developed in machine and plant engineering, the OPC UA Companion Specifications. The added value: umati makes it easier for machines, components, plants and IT systems to communicate with each other or to be integrated into customer- and user-specific IT ecosystems - efficiently, securely and easily.
Learn in our web event why OPC UA, OPC UA Companion Specifications and umati are so important for the implementation of Industry 4.0 communication in production. Get to know the technology as well as its numerous application possibilities.
And above all, take the opportunity to look behind the scenes! Two VDMA members, and at the same time contributors to the umati circle, will share with you their concrete experiences in the technical implementation and introduction of OPC UA as well as their practical knowledge from their daily work. They will also provide insights into customer acceptance and demand.
We look forward to having you join us!
You will receive the dial-in link via TEAMS immediately before the event.
