Caspian Oil & Gas is the largest trade fair for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries in the Caspian region. In 2022, 250 companies from 31 countries exhibited their products. 5942 visitors came to the exhibition centre in Baku.
Azerbaijan has been investing in the oil and gas industry for several years. The main focus is on processing and petrochemicals.
The Coran crisis has not left the country unscathed, but the sustained commodity prices in particular are driving the industry. As a result of the Russia-Ukraine war, the EU has concluded an agreement on gas supplies. From 2027, 20 billion instead of the previous 8.1 cubic metres are to flow.
In 2021, 34.6 million crude oil were extracted and 43.9 billion cubic metres of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan. A large part of this was accounted for by the privately operating companies.
