Sustainability and resource-saving management remain a long-term challenge for companies. The question of how to make the transition to climate-neutral production is of central importance, not only for the long-term goal of greenhouse gas neutrality, but also for Germany as an industrial location.  Here, the mechanical engineering sector is acting as an enabler, offering climate-friendly technologies and solutions. The VDMA project "Climate Neutral Production" provides assistance and supports VDMA members on their way to climate neutral production.

For companies, the time to act is now! Customers, financial markets, employees and politics - all are oriented toward the overriding goal of climate neutrality. To go along with this, recognizing the potential it offers and exploiting it, means reaping ecological and economic benefits. Ultimately, no one can avoid the issue of climate protection.

The Blue Competence Sustainability Initiative and Sustainability Team at the VDMA now offers extensive support materials to help you cope with the increasing sustainability requirements. In addition to basic information how to find one's way through the maze of legal obligations, general frameworks and other management measures, we offer practical implementation guidelines and tools, for example for the implementation of the human rights due diligence, a sustainability strategy and corresponding reporting obligations.

With our digital event series Connect2Discover@VDMA, we offer you a successive and continuous insight into our wide range of services and show you how you can use your membership for your advantage - every 2nd Tuesday of the month, always at 2 o'clock, 2 presentations of about 30 minuntes each - entertaining, compact, competent - click here for the overview. The target group for this event-series are all "newcomers" to VDMA and all those who would like to get to know the range of services better - members or those who are interested in a membership. Every third event is in English, for the others we offer simultaneous translation.
