At the end of September the joint research projects "Building 4.0" and "5G Lab Germany Research Field Lausitz" will be demonstrating how the construction site of the future works on the premises of the Hoyerswerda utility company.
Verbundprojekt Bauen 4.0
The project consortia with over 30 companies and research institutions will then present the innovative solutions they have developed over the past three years. A highlight will be a real sewer construction site, in which various construction machines such as a Mobile excavators, wheel loaders and loading cranes with newly developed automation functions will be used. Other demonstrators include "tracking and tracing" for construction materials and equipment, 5G-based construction site campus networks and connectivity modules, and remote controls for construction equipment. An interactive construction site control system enables real-time monitoring of the construction site.
In addition, participants will have ample opportunity to understand the scientific approach and exchange ideas with researchers through presentations and discussions
