Shifts in global partnerships, an unpredictable new US President and ongoing wars - the European Union faces significant challenges from global disruptions.
Added to this are domestic challenges, such as the excessive red tape of recent years, which have made Europe a less attractive business location.
To meet these challenges, the EU needs to adapt its trade and industrial policies to ensure competitiveness.
This means balancing market openness with protection against unfair competition, while maintaining global competitiveness and resilience.
- How is the EU responding to geopolitical tensions and shifts in economic power?
- What strategic positioning is needed to maintain a strong global leadership?
- And what tools will the EU use to get its economy moving again?
We look forward to discussing current developments in international trade and the EU's adapted industrial policy with MEP Bernd Lange and EU Director General Kerstin Jorna from the EU Commission.
And we would like to invite you to this EU Policy Reception.
Please note that the event will be held in English (no simultaneous translation into German).
We look forward to seeing you.
