"University learning ecosystems as enablers for data spaces and digital business models in engineering"
The sustainable success of the state of Baden-Württemberg is based on the bright minds and inspiring inventors who develop their ideas and turn them into products that make a significant contribution to value creation in the state. The acute, widespread shortage of skilled workers, particularly in the high-tech sector, represents an immense risk for BW as a business location.

In order to inspire young talent, the state of Baden-Württemberg, its educational institutions and industry, in particular the mechanical and plant engineering sector, must reposition themselves internationally. The key here lies in digitalization, which allows global reach and access to international talent and knowledge carriers.
With the support of the state of Baden-Württemberg, the Learning and Application Center Mechatronics (LAZ) was established at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure for hands-on learning with interdisciplinary teams. Here, students can think, produce, test, learn, develop and learn from mistakes.
In this short online event, we would like to introduce you to the infrastructure and the planned activities at the LAZ and explain the practical learning concept together with the technology leader and project partner TRUMPF.
This VDMA Baden-Württemberg event is free of charge and limited to 60 participants. Please let us know if you are unable to attend despite having registered. Thank you very much.
