Third Congress “Digital Solutions for Mechanical and Plant Engineering”
Digitalization in mechanical and plant engineering is increasingly shaping the industry, offering numerous advantages, including greater flexibility, increased competitiveness, and the opening of new business areas. The consideration of sustainable and resource-saving processes is also underway. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to accelerate these processes and create new opportunities; however, it also poses significant challenges. To address these challenges and showcase best practices in digital transformation, VDMA Software and Digitalization, in collaboration with VDMA Austria, is organizing the "Digital Solutions for Mechanical and Plant Engineering" congress. This event, scheduled for May 8-9, 2025, at the Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof, will feature keynote presentations and panel discussions that explore cutting-edge digitalization solutions for the mechanical and plant engineering sector. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with managing directors and executives from companies in the mechanical and plant engineering, software, and digitalization industries, thereby deriving benefit from their experience and expertise.

The event starts on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with a joint dinner for networking and getting to know each other as well as keynotes from Google Germany and Siemens Digital Industries Software.
On Friday, 9 May 2025, from 8:30 a.m., the congress day will then be all about mutual learning from successful digitalization projects. Participants will learn first-hand how the digital transformation can be successfully implemented and what experiences Austrian and German machine and plant manufacturers have had on their Industry 4.0 journey. In addition to experience reports from EREMA, Krones, Lenze, Primetals Technologies, Scheuch with Odego and the TII Group with SAE , you will also experience two exciting panel discussions on strategic digitalization planning and rapid success with AI.
We charge a fee for participation in the event: EUR 400 plus 20% VAT for VDMA members or EUR 500 plus 20% VAT for non-members. The price includes participation in the networking and introductory evening on 08.05.2025 as well as the entire congress on 09.05.2025 including catering.
