The board of the regional subsidiary consists of at least six members. If possible, the most important districts of the domestic mechanical engineering industry should be represented in it. Members of the board can only be owners, board members, managing directors or executives of member companies registered in the commercial register. Membership of the board is personal and is exercised on an honorary basis. The board represents the interests of the regional subsidiary in the main board of the VDMA. The chairman of the board is elected for a period of four years, whose main task is to manage the day-to-day business and activities of the entire board. He convenes and chairs the general meetings as well as all meetings of the board.
