The topic "QM meets sustainability" suggested in the last QM Corner seems to be gaining momentum in many QM departments.
Discuss with us how you deal with the topic of sustainability in QM and where you see it in the future. Is it to be covered by another management system and lead to a kind of sustainability officer, who might be in good hands in quality management. Or does sustainability go hand in hand with a change in values and affect all the actions of a company, so it will remain more of a management task?
It is undisputed that you will increasingly encounter sustainability issues in QM. Why? Because there are many points of contact between sustainability and quality. Because customers are increasingly making their purchasing decisions based on whether a product also meets ecological or social requirements. This means that sustainability is also relevant in connection with the quality of a product and thus for quality management.
