During the 5-day program, German companies and their local subsidiaries / agents / partners have the opportunity to present their company to a large target audience in the target market. They will receive important information on the target market as well as valuable tips on common business practices. In addition, individually organized meetings with selected Oil & Gas / Petrochmistry  / Chemsitry state companies are part of the program in order to establish targeted business contacts in the target market. Here, the participants benefit exclusively from the large network and experience of the AHK India and the specialist partner VDMA.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is visibly developing into a hub for the global petrochemical industry. India's gross domestic product is expected to be the third highest in the world by mid-century. Currently, India exports far more than it imports, and merchandise exports from India reached a record high of $40.4 billion in March 2022 - the highest monthly value in the country's history.

In addition, the government is actively trying to boost domestic production with investment programs and tax privileges, and foreign direct investment (FDI) is an important source of finance and a key driver of economic growth. This opens up great business opportunities for German companies to develop the Indian market in the long term. German process technology suppliers have been the most important high-tech suppliers in the Indian market for many years. German engineering companies are ideally placed to support the petrochemical industry in India in its transition to climate-neutral and energy-efficient energy production and processing.

Program
In the industrial and administrative center of Mumbai, there will be a presentation event of German process technology suppliers to decision-makers of important petrochemical companies, who will mainly want to learn about decarbonization, energy efficiency and potentials of H2 in the process industries. Over two days, the event will then travel to the chemical / petrochemical cluster in Vadodara to visit potential customers. Together with VDMA we will also exchange experiences with other German companies in Vadodara (e.g. Linde, GEA, Aerzen) and finally we will visit some of the major state petrochemical players like ONGC, BPCL, Haldia or India Oil in Delhi. Individual B2B matching appointments are also scheduled throughout the trip. During these appointments, the participants name the desired company interlocutors to the AHK. Experience has shown that in this format one often gets an appointment where previously the doors remained closed for years - simply because the German Ministry of Econmic Affairs and Climate Action, the VDMA and the AHK India are making inquiries on behalf of the German Ministry. From experience we recommend both market newcomers and experienced India experts to participate, especially because you get an extremely compact and intensive program including personal wishes for very little money. Participation conditions
The project is part of the German market development program for SMEs and is subject to de minimis regulations. The companies' own contribution for participation in the project is between EUR 500 and EUR 1000 (net), depending on the size of the German mother company. Participation is possilbe for German companies, their local agent or branch office as well as up to two participants per company will be admitted per registration. For technical reasons the application has to come through the mother company in Geramany, whereas participants can also be from India. Applications will be accepted till September 2, 2022. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 12 companies. Registrations will be considered in the order of receipt.
