Regulatory pressure on companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector is constantly increasing - particularly in the area of substance regulation. European regulations such as REACH and the POP Regulation not only entail technical requirements, but also influence strategic decisions in purchasing, development and sustainability. Those who are informed about changes in good time can reduce risks, organise processes in a legally compliant manner and secure the future viability of the company.
The REACH regulation regularly provides for the inclusion of new substances in the list of substances of very high concern (SVHC). Other substances may be subject to restrictions or authorisation requirements - with noticeable effects on supply chains, product liability and substitution. In our update, we present the most important developments, in particular
- The ongoing restriction procedure on PFAS
- The regulation of chromium(VI)
- The increasing importance of the POP Regulation as a result of the Stockholm Convention
Bring your questions on the topic and share your thoughts with colleagues from other member companies and the speakers. We look forward to an intensive exchange of experiences.
