Online event as part of the VDMA event series on the new cybersecurity requirements under Delegated Regulation 2022/30 EU on the Radio Equipment Directive.

The Radio Equipment Directive EU 2014/53 (RED ) establishes a legal framework for the placing on the market of radio equipment in the EU. The Radio Equipment Directive stipulates that non-radio products that contain a permanently installed radio device ("combined-machine") are themselves radio equipment within the meaning of the Radio Equipment Directive.
From 01.08.2025, new essential requirements for cybersecurity will apply under Delegated Regulation EU 2022/30 on Article 3 (3) (d,e,f) of the Radio Equipment Directive including amendment (EU) 2023/2444. This affects radio equipment - including "combined machines" - that can communicate directly or indirectly via the internet. The relevance of the essential requirements for manufacturers of automation components, machines and systems who want to place their affected products on the European single market from August 1, 2025 is correspondingly high.

What do the new obligations mean for manufacturers? Experts Dr. Kai Wollenweber, Senior Cybersecurity Expert at SIEMENS AG, and Dr. Matthias Flieger, Head of Certification Services at cetecomadvanced, will provide clarity on the topic and answer participants' questions.
