Mobile robots have become an integral part of modern automation. From 24 to 27 June 2025, some of our VDMA member companies and selected technology partners will be demonstrating what is already possible and what the added value of association-supported standards can be at the ‘Mobile Robots in Production: Mesh-Up’ showcase at automatica. The main focus here will be on the centralised control of a heterogeneous fleet of mobile robots in production and logistics. A total of ten different devices from eight manufacturers, including a cleaning robot, will be in operation in Hall B4, Stand 330.

In line with this, we are hosting the panel programme ‘Intralogistics Insights - Future perspectives for the automation of production and warehouse logistics’ together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) on 25 June 2025. Here we will take a look at the technology status quo and development prospects in intralogistics. Naturally, mobile robotics will be one of the focal points.
