In cooperation with SBS systems for business solutions and with the support of VDMA, AHK Services Eastern Africa Ltd, the service company at the Delegation of the German Economy for East Africa, is organizing a business initiation trip to Ethiopia and Tanzania from October 16 - 20, 2023.

This is a project-related funding measure under the BMWK market development program. The trip is generally aimed at German companies in the field of mechanical and plant engineering with a focus on food and packaging technology. It offers the opportunity to establish meaningful and profitable contacts in the East African market and to further develop existing business contacts.
According to Euromonitor, packaged food consumption is expected to increase by nearly 29% in Ethiopia and 39% in Tanzania by 2027. To meet this demand, the local food industry will need more and more modern machinery for processing and packaging, which means great opportunities for German manufacturers.
