Onshore wind energy - expansion figures for Germany for the full year 2023
In order to achieve the climate protection targets, the installed capacity of onshore wind energy must amount to around 115 GW by 2030. This requires a reliable and consistent expansion of the installed volume. In order to realize projects, permits, areas, repowering and the expansion of the grids are required.
Where do we stand today and what needs to be done? Based on the expansion figures for onshore wind energy prepared by Deutsche WindGuard, the two industry associations BWE and VDMA Power Systems comment on the development of expansion in 2023 as a whole and make recommendations for action to politicians.
