Cybersecurity has become an absolute priority topic. On January 16, 2023, the new version of the European Network and Information Security Directive, NIS-2 for short, came into force. The aim of the EU directive is to improve the IT and OT security of critical and particularly important facilities and companies in the EU member states. The new obligations of the NIS2 Directive will become binding in Germany when they are transposed into national law. This transfer must take place by October 17, 2024. A draft of the new "NIS-2 Implementation and Cybersecurity Strengthening Act" is already available. The requirements that the NIS-2 directive places on German companies in the mechanical and electrical engineering industries are far-reaching.

In addition, the event will discuss upcoming European requirements for placing products with digital elements on the market.

ProduktionNRW, together with ZVEI, is offering a networking event that will provide information about the expected new cybersecurity obligations and present solution approaches from well-known industrial and IT security companies.
