Manufacturing companies are also striving to find sustainable solutions and reduce their environmental impact. One central approach is climate-neutral production.
The fight against climate change is omnipresent in the public debate: customers, the company's own workforce, investors, politicians, environmental associations and other interest groups are increasingly sensitized to this issue. This is why it is also important for companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector to emphasize the importance of making a credible contribution in the form of effective climate management and to reduce their own carbon footprint.
With the approach of climate-neutral production, the industry has such an approach to promote a sustainable future for people and the environment. At the same time, however, pressure is growing across the value chain: customers are setting ambitious climate neutrality targets and expecting the same from their suppliers. Small and medium-sized companies in particular are facing considerable challenges in meeting climate and, increasingly, reporting requirements.
As part of the program, keynote speeches are planned in which approaches to climate-neutral production will be presented from the perspective of igus® GmbH and VDMA. However, the focus is primarily on the exchange of ideas among the participants. We would like to discuss together questions around the topic, such as:
We will focus in particular on technological solutions and strategies that can be implemented in a practical way.
Contribute your experience and questions on the topic and exchange your thoughts with colleagues from other member companies and with the speakers. We look forward to an intensive exchange of experiences.
The event is aimed at specialists and managers from the areas of environment, lean and management.
Moderation: Kevin Löpke
Registration deadline: 14.11.2023
If you are unable to attend despite registering, please send us a short message.
In the interest of an efficient dialogue, we have limited the number of participants. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.
Participation in the event is free of charge.
Organizer
The event is offered by ProduktionNRW. ProduktionNRW is the cluster of mechanical engineering and production technology in North Rhine-Westphalia and is organized by VDMA NRW. ProduktionNRW sees itself as a platform to connect, inform and market companies, institutions and networks among each other and along the value chain. Significant parts of the services provided by ProduktionNRW are funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

- How can companies, especially small and medium-sized companies from the mechanical and plant engineering sector, start with the topic of climate-neutral production?
- Which approaches and offers have proven particularly effective in tackling climate-neutral production?
- How can companies in mechanical and plant engineering learn from each other?
- What challenges and opportunities have been identified so far in mechanical and plant engineering to realize climate-neutral production.
- How is the carbon footprint reduced, energy efficiency increased and sustainable production processes implemented?
We will focus in particular on technological solutions and strategies that can be implemented in a practical way.
