The importance of using data and information for innovation, efficiency and progress cannot be overestimated. It is not only access to data that is crucial, but above all the cross-manufacturer exchange and effective further processing of this information. Interoperability is proving to be an essential component of digital transformation and is fundamental to an efficient and robust data economy.

Numerous interoperability solutions exist, but their added value can only be realized if they are implemented correctly and in a complementary manner in companies. The "2nd Interoperability Summit - Efficient through Digital Transformation" is spotlighting success stories, real-world applications, and current interoperability trends this year. Partnering with renowned organizations such as AutomationML e.V., ECLASS e.V., GS1, IDTA, interop4X (FVA GmbH), OPC Foundation, prostep ivip, VDMA and ZVEI, the event provides practical insights into a variety of interoperability solutions. Attendees will gain firsthand knowledge of how digital transformation is implemented in practice, the successes achieved, and the key topics shaping the future of digital transformation.

The Summit program covers a wide range of topics:

• Best practices and success stories of interoperability approaches
• Cross-technology interoperability approaches
• Technological developments

A particular focus will be on the exchange of interoperability technologies in various sectors, including

• Exchange of product and operational data, for example through AutomationML Asset Administration Shell (AAS), PLCopen (IEC 61131-3) and STEP
• Standardized catalog data such as ECLASS and the IEC Common Data Dictionary
• Domain-specific frameworks such as MTP and NOA
• Other technologies such as GS1 and omlox

The framework of this event includes presentations as well as networking opportunities. Discover the success stories and practical applications of interoperability solutions and exchange ideas with other participants, organizations, exhibitors and experts during the breaks. Various solution providers from the focus areas of the presentations will be presenting themselves at the trade exhibition.
