Gastech 2023, September 5th - 8th in Singapore - German and European Pavilion
After a change of venue due to the pandemic, Gastech 2023 will finally take place in Singapore from September 5th-8th, 2023. The fair is considered the world's largest in the field of LNG, gas and hydrogen.

After a change of venue due to the pandemic, Gastech 2023 will finally take place in Singapore from September 5th-8th, 2023. The fair is considered the world's largest in the field of LNG, gas and hydrogen.

LNG and hydrogen as focal points
Gastech has been concentrating on cryogenic technology for many years. The scope of application is LNG liquefaction and regasification plants, solutions for LNG deep-sea tankers, FLNG / FRUs, LNG loading and unloading technologies (for ships, trains, trucks) as well as all technologies for gas transport, storage, pipelines, bunkering, dual-fuel engines, vehicle tanks, ship and offshore technology as well as technologies for industrial gases. Since 2021, the Gastech Conference and Exhibition have also focused on hydrogen and PtX technologies as part of Cyro-Technology. Helium is also a marginal topic. Gastech traditionally brings together not only the technology suppliers but also the major gas companies such as SHELL, ENI, Chevron, UNIPER, GAZPROM, KOGAS, Sonagol and other national energy companies, so that LNG and hydrogen topics from the energy sector's perspective (production, transport and storage of H2) are the main focus of the fair. Exhibitors also include some major EPCs specialising in LNG, H2 and cryogenics projects.
German Pavilion and European exhibitors
Since 2015, VDMA has initiated joint stands at Gastech in which 20-30 German and European companies regularly participate. Since 2021, there has been a German Pavilion and a separate exhibition area for European companies. For the 2022 edition in Milan, Italy, there was a record participation of 37 exhibitors in the German Pavilion.
Due to the existing popularity of Gastech, VDMA is planning to add another area for European exhibitors and German latecomers this year. It has evolved into the world's leading gas and LNG technology exhibition and is now also focusing on hydrogen and the role of gas in the energy transition. Gastech takes place at different locations around the world, most recently in Dubai in 2021 and Milan, Italy in 2022.
The hybrid edition of Gastech in Dubai in 2021 took place with almost 20 companies from Germany.
37 companies presented themselves at the latets edition in 2022 at the German Pavilion in Milan, Italy. All together there were 750 exhibitoners and 39.500 attendes to be found at the fair. In addition to the German Pavilion there were another twelve country pavillions present.
Parallel to the exhibition, the Gastech Conference is held with visitors from international oil & gas groups as well as EPCs and bank representatives. The entire event recorded around 30,000 attendees, including 2,516 conferees, from 30 industry sectors and 112 countries (2019 figures).
