Bright ideas for a transforming industry – Towards a green and more resilient economy

16x9

Mechanical engineering is a strongly European networked industry. With the 1st European Engineering Dialogue, VDMA has launched a new conference for the leading decision makers of the European engineering industry to discuss the current and future challenges of our industry and to provide a platform for exchange.

Our economy is in a state of upheaval: supply chains and markets are under increasing pressure due to several crises, the decoupling of the US and China has serious implications for companies in the EU, and the pressure to address climate change is steadily increasing. What are the strategic implications for businesses? And what business models will prevail?

We are convinced that these topics are worth discussing at the European level.

However, the timing for the launch of the 1st European Engineering Dialogue on June 22 and 23, 2022 in Brussels has unfortunately turned out to be unfortunate.  Due to the Corona pandemic, many important customer appointments, trade fairs and other events have been postponed to the summer before the vacations. In addition, Putin's war of aggression and extremely tense supply chains are increasingly leading to time-consuming crisis management for companies in our industry.

We are planning a new edition for 2023.
