"New Work" includes various methods and attitudes that improve cooperation in companies and teams. The persona method is used to think oneself into target groups.
New Work and Agility are among the megatrends in society and business. Transformation through these trends is happening slowly but inexorably. This is because, on the one hand, the expectations of employees are changing, and on the other hand, the framework conditions for doing business are changing as a result of digitalization, among other things. The mechanical and plant engineering sector therefore needs to adapt its own working conditions in order to be able to call up the specific speed of innovation and reaction in the future.
New Work includes various methods and attitudes that improve cooperation in companies and teams. One method - the "persona" - can be used to think oneself into target groups and thus achieve a change of perspective. Personas are helpful tools for innovation processes, but also in human resource management. For example, products, services or internal processes can be designed to be more target group-oriented and successful. In order to work out the characteristics of a fictitious person, certain questions are answered to classify the personas: What are my goals? What annoys me time and again?
What can you expect from the virtual exchange of experiences? In the two-hour event, we will introduce you to the "Persona" method. Together you will work out a persona in small groups based on the target group "Millennials" (born in the late 1990s). Afterwards you will discuss the results as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the method. The small group work is carried out using the IT tool Mural.

The event "New Work": Personas in Theory and Practice" is part of the event series "New Work", which is organized by ProduktionNRW together with the VDMA Business Advisory, the VDMA Competence Center Labor Market and the VDMA regional associations.
