Moroccos government has formulated ambitious targets and has already invested extensively in solar and wind power. The first tenders for hydrogen and PtX projects are underway or about to be launched. Compared to German companies, French or Spanish project developers and investors from other countries, for example, are better positioned. German suppliers and project developers have hardly been active in the Moroccan market to date or lack the right market access. In this background discussion with representatives of GIZ Morocco, we want to discuss the current status of market maturity and projects and upcoming plans in the country as well as opportunities for German companies.
