The year 2024 began with some new commodity codes. The change in ATLAS to version AES 3.0 with new, mandatory data fields in the export accompanying document demanded a great deal of attention. We would also like to talk about the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the tariff classification of goods.
The regulation on the carbon offsetting tax (CBAM) is causing major problems and uncertainties. What is the state of play here?

These points, as well as the various issues relating to customs clearance in third countries and other current or expected legal changes in the customs area, will be presented and discussed.

Speaker: Olaf Engelbert, VDMA Foreign Trade
Moderation: Klaus Möllemann, VDMA NRW
