Be our guest when exciting current topics are highlighted and discussed. As German mining suppliers, we have had hardly any momentum in the domestic market in recent years. This could soon change.

One of our speakers will be Marko Uhlig, Managing Director of Zinnwald Lithium GmbH. The company is on its way to becoming a domestic supplier for the European battery industry in the heart of the Ore Mountains. His presentation entitled "Securing raw materials through mining in Germany: Lithium mining in the Ore Mountains" will provide information on the status of the project and the technological requirements.

Dr. Sarah Brückner will also be speaking. She is Head of the VDMA Department Environment and Sustainability and will shed light on the topic of sustainability in her presentation "Overview of the implementation of the supply chain due diligence obligation. What's coming in 2025?". The basic principle is to avoid disproportionate impacts on companies when implementing due diligence and reporting obligations. The presentation will analyse current and upcoming legal requirements for members and provide practical examples of how these can be mastered by SMEs.
