VDMA- Workshops 2.0 / 2022
The popular NORTEC exhibition will take place again this year from 31.05.2002 to 03.06.2022. On three days we offer four interesting VDMA workshops with different current topics. Each session or workshop can be attended according to focus and independently of each other. Please refer to the respective attached agendas for details.
All events will be held at Hamburg Messe & Congress in the Chicago area as a face-to-face event. Current local sanitation policies apply and we will inform you of these in advance. Participation is free of charge.
In the workshops, we want to identify, provide assistance and discuss the current challenges facing the manufacturing industry:
With expert knowledge from the VDMA and HAW and, above all, many practical company examples will also be presented.
Prof. Hans-Jürgen Dräger and Prof. Enno Stöver, HAW will accompany the events moderated by VDMA North.
Tues., 05/31/2022, 2-4 p.m.: "Climate-neutral production - don't miss the train!"
How can future legal requirements be implemented operationally in a way that improves competition as much as possible? We will present and discuss concrete opportunities and challenges using the practical example of a steel mill.
Wed., 01.06.2022, 12- 14 h: "What can we learn in production/development from software development? Rethinking collaboration!" Why should we rethink collaboration in engineering companies? Why should adaptability be the core competence in manufacturing companies? In addition to these questions, the company Yxlon will report on the practical synchronization of agile projects in their classic organizational structure and discuss it with the participants.
Wed., 01.06.2022, 14:30- 17 h: "Digitization in manufacturing - provable success!"
Digitization shows measurable success, but the road ahead is often rocky. AI, 5G and OPC UA are important (future) elements of further digitization, but often not the first measures to harvest "low-hanging fruits". Practical examples of the transmission manufacturer REINTJES GmbH and the startup FactoryPlus for implementation are supplemented by explanations of the use of AI, 5G and OPC UA.
Thurs., 02.06.2022, 14- 16 h: "Machine safety - know-how as a competitive advantage!"
EU regulations are rather dry stuff. However, their effect on products and plants is enormous. We want to show with practical examples that the use of these rules is a clear competitive advantage!
