Agenda:
10:00 - 10:05 Welcoming address
10:05 - 10:35 Climate neutral production - don't miss the train!
Hannah L. Harlos, VDMA CC Climate & Energy
Why is climate neutral production becoming more and more important? Who and what is driving climate neutrality? And what all is involved? The answers to these fundamental questions and indications of how the VDMA can provide support form the basis of the event.
10:35 - 11:05 Carbon Reduction @Suppliers by Siemens
Thomas Kentsch, Siemens AG
Siemens AG will reduce CO2 emissions by 20% by the year 2030. This will also be possible through the support of suppliers. They can evaluate themselves in a "Carbon Web Assessment" (CWA) and thus also define the development of their own CO2 footprint. As supplier+s, the tool enables them to go further and further up the supply chain.
11:05 - 11:15 Bio break
11:15 - 11:45 Industrial DC grids - a technological leap towards climate neutrality, resource conservation and grid stability
Dr.-Ing. Jan Stefan Michels, Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG
DC technology promises great potential for industrial applications. Advantages result, for example, from the saving of conversion losses and simpler prediction of power consumption. On the other hand, new challenges are posed to protection technology.
11:45 - 12:15 Sustainable manufacturing with machine tools - Approaches for reducing energy consumption in parts manufacturing with machine tools
Andreas Grözinger, Siemens AG
The presentation looks at the typical application scenario of machine tools. Possibilities to minimize energy consumption will be shown and solutions of the Siemens CNC equipment packages will be presented.
12:15 - 12:30 Closing discussion
12:30 End of the event
