VDMA meeting for market experts
In response to many requests from members from the fields of process technology and hydrogen, we are organising the second Hydrogen & Green Molecules Markets: European Experts Meeting together with the VDMA Oil Gas Petrochemicals Division and the VDMA AG Power to X for Applications. The meeting is intended to bring together managing directors, sales and regional sales managers as well as project and marketing managers from European technology players along the H2 and green molecules chain (including carbon management) once a year to discuss current and future market developments. We cover the entire process chain of the industry and alle hydrogen colours. The fist meeting in 2023 registered some 60 participants mainly from Germany. This year we expect also some individual participants from abroad. The event language is English.

Agenda
The VDMA experts Thomas Michaelis and Ragnar Strauch will  moderate the event and introduce to current market developments (exchange on market views); Dr. Fabian Hinz, from ABO Energy will give an insight into international green hydrogen production – chances and challenges and Sebastian Steul, VDMA Carbon Management Expert, will update us on main legal aspects in Germany and Europe for Carbon Management projects. From Alfa Laval Cristian Wehling will give us insights into heat transfer optimization across the hydrogen value chain. The final presentation will be from Dr. Florian Gruschwitz who will give us insights into Everllence decarbonization solutions. And finally, there will be ample opportunity to interact on markets and projects as well as to get to know each other and network.

Green molecules - current and future markets
Hydrogen and green molecules are currently high on the agenda. Process engineering companies in the VDMA have long been familiar with the market for grey hydrogen. Now blue and green hydrogen are being added, as well as new solutions for other H2-based chemical building blocks, so-called hydrogen derivatives, which are increasingly finding their way into the markets as low-CO2 or even climate-neutral "green" variants: chemicals, steel, cement, glass, heavy-duty transport, shipping, fertilizers and energy are just some of the most important user markets. Some are still being developed, but others already have very clear prospects and initial projects. The topic has long since arrived in the mechanical engineering sector. Numerous VDMA members now offer their own H2-related products or other climate-neutral molecules. And new players are entering the market, as well as old players from other secotors from banking, investment industry, energy setor etc. are looking at H2 and H2-related markets. Therefore at VDMA we decided to bring together all these players at one yearly meeting.

Conditions of participation
The event is free of charge for VDMA members and at request for non-members from the described sectors. It is aimed at managing directors, sales and regional sales managers as well as project and marketing managers with an interest in the D-A-CH, European and international / global H2 / H2 derivatives markets. Guests from related sectors can attend on request and representatives from mechanical engineering companies can attend up to three times on request, after which membership is expected.
