Brazil is pushing digital transformation with its Digital Plan 2030+ and therefore, initiates the "open industry" program to carry out projects in strategic areas of the industrial sector aiming for data economy through industrial data spaces . The panel discussion focuses on this new program and the importance of international collaboration regarding use of existing standards (e.g. interoperablity standard interfaces) and exchange of experience to support interoperability and scaling. Also covered will be the business case for the development of a governance platform, ecosystem and priority sectors in the Brazilian industrial environment and a case study of the application of Data Spaces in a cluster of Brazilian tool shops with real gains in OEE and increased profitability. Furthermore there will be related examples as e.g. a industrial project for ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 for cybersecurity and data governance.
