How can employees be convinced to commit to more energy efficiency in their own company? And how can top management be convinced to invest in climate protection and energy efficiency?
In all sectors of society, the commitment to energy efficiency and climate protection is stronger than ever. The mechanical and plant engineering sector is rising to these challenges and the first companies are now producing in an energy-efficient or, in some cases, already climate-neutral way. For small and medium-sized enterprises, the green transformation entails a high financial burden despite the knowledge of the future opportunities. Therefore, in some places the motivation for change or even the cost approval of individual measures turns out to be a high hurdle.
Against this background, the participants of the energy efficiency and climate protection network Südwestfalen-Rheinland wished for an exchange of experiences on this topic. On the one hand, it is about questions of how to convince employees to pay more attention to energy efficiency in their own production or also to bring about changes in behaviour. On the other hand, we will talk about how to convince the management bodies to make investments in climate protection and energy efficiency and what is needed for this.
For the exchange of experiences, we have invited the Managing Director of MPG Mendener Präzisionsrohr GmbH, Dr. Andreas Gahl. He will share his own experiences on the topic of "motivating and inspiring" and will be able to give useful tips from the perspective of a managing director. In addition, we will develop concrete solutions together with the participants in group work during the workshop. If the participants have a current problem, you are welcome to tell us about it!

ProduktionNRW is the competence network of mechanical engineering and production technology in North Rhine-Westphalia and is carried out by the VDMA NRW. ProduktionNRW sees itself as a platform for networking, informing and marketing companies, institutions and networks among themselves and along the value chain. Significant parts of the services provided by ProduktionNRW are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
