The aim of the working group from the VDMA perspective is to examine the cybersecurity requirements from NIS2 and the NIS2 Implementation Act in Germany from the perspective of an industrial company with fewer than 500 employees ("SME" in the broadest sense), to develop recommendations and - if necessary - to draw up checklists of "measures considered appropriate for our industry and size".
Target group:
In terms of content, all member companies covered by NIS2, approx. 3,000 companies from the manufacturing industry. With the NIS2 working group, we would particularly like to support machine and plant manufacturers who do not yet have a suitable infrastructure and personnel to meet the requirements expected in the future. The working group is therefore aimed at members with fewer than 500 employees, as well as the BSI.
