Customs handling up to date: what's new on ATLAS export, origin of goods and preferences, third countries, new commodity codes 2023 etc.? The subject area of export control is offered separately on other dates.

The year 2023 started with some new commodity codes. The change in ATLAS to version AES 3.0 with new, mandatory data fields in the export accompanying document as well as the approach of CEP services with regard to digitalization requires great attention.
The conclusion and negotiation of various free trade agreements and the modernization of various agreements are attracting attention and discussion, including among the general public. What is the state of play here? The EU Commission has criticized insufficient use of the free trade agreements. We want to discuss what this might be due to.
This year, we want to take a closer look at a recurring topic, namely external audits by the customs authorities, in an excursus.
These points, but also the various issues in customs clearance in third countries as well as other current or expected legal changes in the customs area will be presented and discussed with each other.
This exchange of experience on customs clearance will take place with a regional focus on Westphalia. A second event with a regional focus on the Rhine-Ruhr region will be offered on September 20. The subject area of export control will be separated and linked to other dates.
