From 01.08.2025, new essential requirements for cybersecurity will apply under Delegated Regulation EU 2022/30 on Article 3 (3) (d,e,f) of the Radio Equipment Directive including amendment (EU) 2023/2444. This affects radio equipment - including "combined machines" - that can communicate directly or indirectly via the internet. The relevance of the essential requirements for manufacturers of automation components, machines and systems who want to place their affected products on the European single market from August 1, 2025 is correspondingly high.
What do the new obligations mean for manufacturers? Experts Dr. Kai Wollenweber, Senior Cybersecurity Expert at SIEMENS AG, and Dr. Matthias Flieger, Head of Certification Services at cetecomadvanced, will provide clarity on the topic and answer participants' questions.
