The various sub-committees of the Requirements for H2 & H2-Derivatives Plants & Systems working group (VDMA Specification 6924x DE/EN) have been drafting scope and flow charts for H2 plants & H2-derivatives plants since October, which will be presented in Presence, and the first sub-committees have already started drafting the requirements matrix for approvable plants in their area of responsibility, which can serve as the basis for a checklist.  In this first phase, the project is focussing on the German market. The working language is therefore initially German. However, final documents will also be made available in English. 

At the in presence meeting in Frankfurt, the sub-working group 1 (‘General authorisation procedure issues’) will present an initial DRAFT text and discuss it with the experts from the other sub-working groups. Depending on the time available, the other sub-working groups will present their initial results. 

The final agenda will be published by the end of February.

*Participation & Languages
The event is aimed exclusively at experts from mechanical and plant engineering, planners, approval authorities and operators of H2 & derivative plants in Europe. We look forward to your cooperation if you can contribute your expertise in industrial plant components and overall systems along the value chain for production, transport, storage and application for H2 and derivatives plants and systems! If you are interested, please contact the project managers Ragnar Strauch and Lucien Beisswenger at VDMA (see below). The Sub Wroking Groups meet aproximately monthly and working language for the moment is German as long as we concentrate on the "German" / "Austrian" market / jurisdiction area. We have also one Sub Working Group for other EU markets with English as working language. The presence meetings (about every 4 months) is aimed at German speaking experts for this first phase. After Summer 2025 we will consider to cover other selected countries (most probalby we will start with Italy). If English-speaking interested parties register for the 12.3.2025 meeting, we will offer a separate update meeting in EN to present the results in EN. Participants of the in situ meeting will receive the approved presentations after the event and will be invited to future events of VDMA Technology for Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals (incl. Low-Carbon Solutions) (if not desired, please inform us).

Please note that the VDMA rates do not apply during trade fair periods - if in doubt, please enquire at the hotel directly. VDMA coordination
The preparation of the "Guideline Requirements for H2 Plants and Systems in Germany and Europe - VDMA  Specification" will involve the expertise of several VDMA units, such as the Process Plant and Equipment, Power Systems, Compressors and Vacuum Technology and Power-to-X for Applications working groups and other trade associations.
