As a member, you probably know the VDMA as a strong association with services for its members and as an active network with a large number of specialized associations and departments. One of these is our "Micro Technologies" department - but what is actually behind it? After all, "Micro" is not a homogeneous sector, a defined technology area or a coherent field of application.
Rather, "Micro Technologies" refers to a variety of technical applications that are characterized by precision and miniaturization and are themselves drivers of these trends. This is why our specialist department includes companies from various fields ranging from micromechanics and precision measurement technology to chemical microreactors.
