Dr. Markus Baldinger is the new Chairman of the Steering Committee for Agricultural Engineering in the VDMA.
Dr. Markus Baldinger is the new Chairman of the Steering Committee for Agricultural Engineering in the VDMA. The members of the committee voted unanimously in favour of the technical director of the Austrian agricultural machinery specialist Pöttinger, who is highly regarded throughout the industry. Baldinger succeeds August Altherr from John Deere, who retired last autumn.
The VDMA Agricultural Machinery Steering Committee is the top technical committee of the association, which comprises around 15 member companies from the German and European agricultural machinery and tractor industry. As a steering committee, the circle deals with strategic future issues of industry-wide relevance, such as those currently being raised by digitalization and CO2 efficiency.
