The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) published the results of the first cross-technology call for tender for onshore wind and solar energy today. For the 200 megawatt (MW) call for tender, 32 bids with a scope of 210 MW for solar plants only were accepted, while the bids submitted for onshore wind power plants were not accepted. The average volume-weighted awarded value is 4.67 ct/kWh.

The German construction equipment industry ended 2017 with turnover of 10.8 billion euros – an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous year. It is the fourth consecutive year of growth for the sector. “The German machine tool industry is setting one production record after another.” With this good news, Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Prokop, Chairman of the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), Frankfurt am Main, opened the organisation’s annual press conference. In 2017, the sector achieved growth of four per cent, and will thus, according to the provisional results, reach a volume of around 15.7 billion euros. For 2018, the VDW is expecting production output to increase by another five per cent.

Im vierten Quartal 2017 stieg der Auftragseingang der deutschen Werkzeugmaschinenindustrie im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um 24 Prozent. Dabei legten die Bestellungen aus dem Inland um 48 Prozent zu. Die Auslandsorders wuchsen um 13 Prozent. Für 2017 gilt insgesamt ein Plus von 8 Prozent. Dabei kletterten die Inlandsaufträge um 10 Prozent nach oben, während die Auslandsbestellungen mit 7 Prozent Plus abschlossen. Hier positionierten sich die Euroländer als Zugpferd.
