VDMA Austria is the first European national association within VDMA outside Germany and is the link for the Austrian mechanical and plant engineering companies to the high-quality services, the range of technical expertise and the comprehensive international network of the VDMA.
Since its foundation in 2017 and the first General Assembly in Vienna in October 2020, the election of a Board of Directors and the adoption of rules of procedure for the VDMA in Austria, we have been actively supporting our more than 180 Austrian member companies with up-to-date industry information, tailor-made integration from management to technical experts in the VDMA network and numerous experience exchange and information events throughout Austria. With a strong local presence in Austria, the VDMA offers its Austrian members the local knowledge and network they need to position themselves strongly in the market and secure an advantage in global competition.
Artificial intelligence is still on everyone's lips - including in mechanical and plant engineering branch and its supplier and customer industries. The great excitement surrounding the AI hype seems to be over and the phase of getting to know and testing is now being followed by the productive use of various AI technologies in a wide range of business areas. You can find out whether the still high expectations of AI are being met in practice and how artificial intelligence is helping the industry to achieve greater efficiency, higher quality, optimized production processes and thus more intelligent value creation at the AI Practice Day of VDMA Austria and VDMA Software and Digitalization on 01.07.2025 at the KEBA Group in Linz.
The VDMA is becoming increasingly attractive for companies in other European countries. We are consistently pursuing this path, because our future as an industrial SME is Europe!
