The industry expects from its international leading trade fair, which takes place from 22 to 25 May 2012 in Munich, further impetus for growth.“ Also in 2012, all key players will be present and we look forward to meeting more than 33,000 international trade visitors who will benefit from the production know-how of the exhibitors and sharpen their competitive edge by using intelligent automation technology”, Wenzel adds.  

The customers of the automation sectors start to place orders again with the manufacturers of robotics, assembly and vision technologies. In order to facilitate the search for a matching supplier of automation products the Robotics+Automation division within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) published a new edition of the Key to the Market.  

07.10.2010 - The producers of industrial machine vision, assembly and handling technologies and robotics will see turnover figures increase in 2010 by 14 per cent to € 7.1 billion. "The steady recovery of orders received since the beginning of this year enables us to raise our forecast for this year's turnover significantly", Dr Michael Wenzel, Chairman of VDMA Robotics + Automation, explains the current trend on the side-lines of a board meeting of the association on 7 October 2010 in Munich, Germany. And: "We expect our industry to further grow in 2011, presumably in the region of 10 per cent."
